VenuWorks Selected by Village of Skokie for Venue Management

(Ames, Iowa) Iowa-based venue management company, VenuWorks, has been hired by the Village of Skokie, Illinois to manage the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts. VenuWorks has significant experience managing venues that host community, regional, and national events.

“We are delighted to have been selected by the Village to manage and operate the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts. We have been impressed with the facilities and staff and look forward to them joining the VenuWorks family,” said Steve Peters, President of VenuWorks.

The North Shore Center for the Performing Arts hosts an 867-seat mainstage theater and a convertible 318-seat theater and presents a Feature Series of entertainment spanning numerous genres and styles and an educational performing arts program, Youtheatre. The Center is home to Northlight Theatre, Music Theater Works, Music of the Baroque, and numerous other cultural organizations.

VenuWorks will assume management and begin its transition of The Center on July 1st. Current General Manager, Michael Pauken, will remain at the venue’s helm as its Executive Director under new VenuWorks management.
