The City of Chesapeake, Virginia approved an extension of the agreement with Iowa-based venue management company, VenuWorks, for the management of the Chesapeake Conference Center.

“We are eager to continue to deliver the trusted and proven management services that have allowed us to positively impact the Chesapeake Conference Center and the community of Chesapeake,” said Steve Peters, President of VenuWorks.

VenuWorks has managed the venue since 2014 and will continue to provide full service management, including booking, operations, marketing and sales, finance and human resources for the Chesapeake Conference Center.

“The Chesapeake Conference Center continues to be a vital component of our city’s tourism, meeting, and event planning efforts,” said City Manager James E. Baker. “The partnership with VenuWorks has been productive, enhancing numerous longstanding community events while assisting in bringing several new projects and groups into our city. We look forward to continuing this growing alliance in future years.”
