VenuWorks Names Joseph Romano Executive Vice President

Ames, IA – VenuWorks, a leader in venue management, today announced that Joseph Romano has joined VenuWorks as the company’s Executive Vice President.

Romano brings almost 40 years of experience in the management and operation of Public Assembly Facilities, both in the public and private sectors. His extensive experience includes previous oversight of multiple North American and European operating locations as well as significant experience with new facility startups and transitions to private management in addition to independent consulting.

“I have known Joe for 35 years. We spent 14 years working together and then nearly twenty years as fierce competitors,” said Steve Peters, VenuWorks’ president. “Joe’s demonstrated track record as a successful business leader and his scope of the industry make him the perfect candidate to support our business strategy and growth initiatives. The past 30 years of Romano’s career have been spent in executive leadership roles within the private management sector of the Public Assembly Facility industry. He has served in the positions of General Manager, VP–Operations U.S, VP-Operations Europe Regional VP and most recently Senior VP where he had responsibility for the oversight of over 20 operating locations comprised of more than 50 individual facilities.

Romano is based out of the VenuWorks corporate office in Ames, Iowa.
