VenuWorks Announces New Corporate Appointments
Richter’s new role will include providing direction to several venue locations managed by VenuWorks for which he will serve as the primary corporate liaison to both clients and venue management staff. His new duties will begin August 1.
“I am excited to join the Corporate team and look forward to working with the executive directors to deliver on our commitments to our clients,” said Richter.
Peters also announced a change in assignment for long-time VenuWorks Vice President John Siehl. Effective August 1, Siehl will become VenuWorks’ Vice President for Risk Management. In this capacity, he will direct the VenuWorks safety team, monitor the administration of insurance claims, and oversee venue compliance with safety, fire, and OSHA regulations. He will also represent VenuWorks in the Event Safety Alliance.
“I am excited to accept this new challenge. Now more than ever, we must be taking the appropriate steps to ensure the safety and security of our patrons, clients, and employees,” said Siehl.
Siehl is a past chairman of the International Association of Venue Managers, having served as an instructor and
administrator for IAVM’s Academy for Venue Safety and Security. He is also a recipient of IAVM’s McElravy Award, the association’s highest award for lifetime achievement.
Over the course of the next six months, several locations now serviced by John will be transitioned to Richter or to VenuWorks Executive Vice President Joe Romano.
VenuWorks, based in Ames, IA, manages forty-five venues in fourteen states, providing comprehensive programming, marketing, operations, event production, food service, staffing, and financial management.
