Topeka’s Performing Arts Center Announces “The Return of Broadway”


The Topeka Performing Arts Center has announced a professional nationally touring four-show 2014-2015 Broadway Season.  Subscription sales start July 18th with three show packages starting as low as $100!

topekaThe season kicks off with the 50th anniversary of a stage and screen classic, The Music Man – In Concert featuring Shirley Jones and Patrick Cassidy, on September 25, 2014 at 7:30pm.  Shirley Jones hosts this 50th Anniversary Celebration of one of America’s favorite movie musicals, THE MUSIC MAN-In Concert.  Co-starring Patrick Cassidy, it features gorgeous period costumes designed by Tony Award-winner William Ivey Long, video projection, film clips and some of Broadway’s finest singers and dancers. Individual ticket prices are $72, $57, $42 and $27.

The thrilling musical, Jekyll & Hyde, is the second Broadway performance on January 31, 2015 at 7:30pm.  Glamorous, sexy and deliciously wicked, Jekyll & Hyde is the enthralling musical based on Robert Louis Stevenson classic story about a brilliant but obsessive scientist whose alter ego wreaks havoc across Victorian London.  Individual ticket prices are $67, $52, $37, and $22.

Come join our sisterhood!  Menopause The Musical is on February 21st, 2015 at 7:30pm.  This hilarious musical parody staged to classic tunes from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s will have you cheering and dancing in the aisles. See what millions of women worldwide have been laughing about for over 10 years!  Individual ticket prices are $67, $52, $37, and $22.

The season closes out with the “World’s Most Successful Rock ‘n’ Roll Musical,” Buddy:  The Buddy Holly Story on March 26th, 2015 at 7:30pm.  Buddy tells the story of Buddy Holly through his short yet spectacular career, and features the classic songs, “Peggy Sue”, “That’ll Be The Day”, “Not Fade Away”, “Oh Boy”, as well as Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba”, The Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace” and many more.  Individual ticket prices are $67, $52, $37, and $22.

Friends of TPAC donors will be able to purchase tickets beginning on July 14th

Subscription/package sales start on July 18th!  Purchase three or more shows and receive a 10% discount on each show.  Ticket packages may be purchased by calling TPAC at 785-234-2787 ext 104.

Individual seats will go
on-sale to the public on Friday August 1st.  Individual tickets are available at www.Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000, at any Ticketmaster outlet or at the TPAC Box Office located at 214 SE 8th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603. The TPAC Box Office is opened from 11am to 6pm Monday through Friday.
