Our marketing team utilizes the analytical resources available to create a comprehensive marketing and promotional plan for each event at the venue.

The VenuWorks core management philosophy is centered on events. Events are the lifeblood of every entertainment and convention facility. We believe it is important to create a diverse programming calendar that is a good balance of artistic, educational, commercial and community/non-profit events.

General venue advertisements are placed sparingly and precisely. Advertising builds awareness but does not create bookings alone. Advertising is used in tandem with direct sales efforts and reinforcement by the sales message aimed toward the specifically targeted sales audience.

Each VenuWorks location maintains a unique, interactive website that includes venue contacts, general facility statistics, upcoming events, ticketing information, social media interaction and news that is mobile optimized for all screens.

Public Relations

Public Relations rely on good relationships between the marketing department of the facility and the media. The better the relationship, the more likely to receive positive stories about the building and its events, thus creating local awareness.

Media Relations

A successful media program is most importantly about building relationships. Understanding that members of the media have demands and pressures built into their jobs and allowing them to accomplish their goals while getting the venue’s message across is a win-win situation for all involved.

Digital and Social Media Footprint

VenuWorks leverages digital and social media to reach visitors before they arrive at our venues and to communicate with them while they are there. Through the venue websites, email marketing, social media, digital advertising and mobile communications, our venues are able to communicate with patrons and event planners around the clock.

Our social media strategy includes: creating social media marketing objectives and goals, conducting social media audits, gathering social media marketing inspiration, creating a social media content calendar and finally testing, evaluating and adjusting the social media marketing plan.

VenuWorks manages professional, accountable and patron-centric box offices at our venues. They are focused on providing the best purchasing experience for every ticket buyer that visits the venue.

VenuWorks maintains a national contract with Ticketmaster that allows new VenuWorks facilities low ticket rates and marketing support that could not be achieved by a facility working by itself. Ticketmaster is the acknowledged industry leader in ticket availability, customer service, and technological innovation. Tickets are available for purchase at the venue box office, on the TM Mobile App, over the phone, and on the internet.

Email Alerts and Fan Notifications

Ticketmaster engages fans throughout the event life cycle with customized and relevant content, using algorithms that define artist preferences and geo-location. Every email sent is mobile optimized to increase open rates, click-through rates and conversion.

Sales Materials and Direct Sales Efforts

The Sales & Marketing team compile invaluable detailed sales materials when marketing your venue to the stakeholder. We believe a consistent “sales” mode attitude is imperative to success. Direct sales efforts are prepared and executed by the marketing team.

Digital Advertising

VenuWorks along with Blue, Ticketmaster’s digital marketing agency, offers a full suite of digital marketing services to place digital advertising. Blue combines Ticketmaster’s strengths in live event marketing, fan engagement and data analytics to help reach more fans and spend marketing dollars more effectively.

We feel that best marketing practices can only be determined by measuring the return on investment. Through reviewing the analytics that we gather from each event’s marketing campaign we are able to determine the best approach for each event moving forward.

Sponsorship & Advertising Sales

The VenuWorks team generates millions of dollars in revenues annually for clients through naming rights, sponsorships, pouring rights, and display advertising. We have been successful in selling naming rights throughout the country, including the Alliant Energy PowerHouse, ImOn Ice, and McGrath Amphitheatre in Cedar Rapids, IA; the Ford Center in Evansville, IN; the Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater in Jefferson City, MO; and the Toyota Center and Toyota Arena in Kennewick, WA.

Embracing the Community

We understand the importance of marketing the venues to the community . Our venue leaders are active in local civic and non-profit organizations. They work with the Convention and Visitors Bureau and the local hospitality industry to develop and implement a marketing plan for attracting visitors to events. Additionally, we calculate and report annual economic impact generated by the venues.
