TEXAS CITY, TEXAS – Lagoon life is heating up in Texas as the state’s largest man-made lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology opens for a summer under the sun. The 12-acre lagoon, developed by Land Tejas, is the anchor of Lago Mar – a master-planned community in the heart of Texas City – bringing idyllic beaches to the inlands of the coastal corridor.
Residents celebrated the exciting milestone by making the lagoon’s very first splash during Lago Mar’s Opening event on Saturday, May 30th. Produced by VenuBlue, a destination attraction management company, the event featured themed food and beverage, various art activations and performances, water shows from global favorites Kymera, Jet Surf, and KO Sailing, rip-roaring skydives and a jaw-dropping water-stunt finale show where hydrosport performers vibrantly twirled through mid-air. The event brought over 1,200 residents together to enjoy what will surely be the development’s hottest trend.
The thrill doesn’t end there – expect more to come as construction continues along the lagoon edge to include a 70-acre paradise village, resort hotel and a public access beach club.
