Our Events Division works with event planners to book, plan and/or promote the perfect attraction for your event, festival, celebration, or meeting. We assist you in finding the perfect attraction to meet your needs, whether it is a concert, family show, sports event, performing arts event or children's program.

Concerts   VenuWorks Events is dedicated to bringing popular entertainment events to VenuWorks-managed buildings. We maintain a programming agenda in the following areas:   Concerts Family shows and attractions Sports events Performing arts Children's programming   Our facilities are able to take advantage of our strong working relationships with agents, managers and national promoters. We co-produce a Broadway Theater Series in several markets.

Performing Arts Booking   Our relationships with performing arts agencies allows us to book some of the world's greatest performers into our performing arts centers.   Our team assists local facility managers in booking or block booking performing arts attractions.   Savings in performance fees can be achieved by VenuWorks for all the participants involved.

Festival Programming   VenuWorks has aggressively worked to develop and produce outdoor festivals in and around its buildings in multiple markets including:   Identifying programming opportunities within the community. Working with local partners to plan, promote and produce the event. Securing sponsors to help underwrite the financial risk of the event. Engaging the services of specialized vendors, such as carnivals, outdoor attractions and midway operators.

Conventions and Meetings   The impact that conventions, meetings and special event trade shows have on the local economy is immediate, far-reaching, and long lasting.    Our staff members at each of our locations are encouraged to participate in hospitality industry organizations supporting growth within their communities. Our team   partners with Convention and Visitors Bureaus and the hospitality industry to develop and implement a marketing plan for conferences and conventions that have local, regional and national components. solicits business from regional and national meeting and convention planners through direct mail and personal sales follow-ups. encourages local citizens and businesses to bring meetings and conventions home.

Sports and Athletics   VenuWorks has a wealth of sports marketing experience from amateur athletic tournaments to negotiating contracts for professional sports franchises.   Founder Steve Peters and Senior Vice President Doug Kuhnel have worked closely with numerous university athletic departments and professional sports franchises with successful results.   We have been a leader in developing local sports commissions in the cities we serve and also in assisting in the recruitment of youth and recreational tournaments to area facilities.   We maintain on-going relationships with collegiate athletic operations including the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, with the Alerus Center being home to the University's football team. VenuWorks has regularly hosted the NCAA playoff games for this perennial power house in college athletics.

VenuWorks Event Share   We have developed a program which supports the creation of events known as Event Share. The program's purpose is to encourage the transfer of successful events developed at VenuWorks managed facilities to other VenuWorks managed locations.   The program identifies events suitable for a broad range of markets and creates blueprints for those events that other facilities can use. provides marketing, management, sales and consulting services for those events as needed. aims to eliminate the labor-intensive start-up effort and trial and error mistakes that can result in unsuccessful events.   The Event Share program is another example of how the sharing of ideas strengthens all of the facilities in the VenuWorks family.
